Squash to hit off at St Mary's

MARK Thomas is upbeat about the introduction of a junior line to Warwick Rose Squash Club fixtures this season.

The club president said the introduction of a junior line had meant that fixtures would be played across seven lines starting tonight

“We only had five lines last season, so have an extra senior as well as the junior line for the second season this year,” Thomas said.

“Junior games on line seven start at 5.15pm at St Mary's Squash Centre,” Thomas said.

As a forerunner to the fixture season, the Warwick club hosted Stanthorpe last night in the annual inter-town clash for a perpetual trophy.

“Warwick players are keen on the inter-town clash which is held once in each town each year,” Thomas said.

Players interested in participating in club squash in the future are welcome to call Thomas on 0408282307.

People not in teams are welcome to Monday night practice from 7.30pm.
