SSAA state championships on at Risdon Range

SHOOTING: Two Shooting Hall of Fame members are in Warwick for four days of state championship action at the Warwick branch organised shoot at Risdon Range.

The first two days of action at the state championships are in International Rimfire Benchrest SSAA shooting.

There was practice yesterday afternoon at Risdon Range for a capacity field of 40 shooters who will be competing.

Two shooting Hall of Fame members will compete, Phil Jones from Pozieres and Brisbane shooter Stuart Elliott.

After two days of competition, the shooters will move on to heavy rimfire benchrest on Sunday and then light rimfire rifle on Monday. The shooters were at the range for breakfast from 6am today and will have their rifles weighed in before the start of competition at 8am.
