Stars set for Cowboys Rodeo

THE night Warwick has been waiting for is finally here, the Cowboys Rodeo.

After nine long weeks of preparation Father Ranger Oval has transformed from a green field to a rodeo ring to play host to the cream of Australia's riding crop which includes APRA record holder Fraser Babbington and Warwick bullride winner David Kennedy.

Along with the stars rodeo-goers can expect Warwick's finest footballers to battle it out in the championship bullock ride which is expected to be the highlight of the evening.

The program also includes an open bull ride, pony bare backs, mutton bust and more.

"Going on rodeos previously held by Scott Keogh, Warwick can expect a really good night," Cowboys committee member Mark Sullivan said.

The family friendly event comes equipped with rides, a mechanical bull, fairy floss and music until late.

A bar and canteen will operate on the night.

WHERE: Father Ranger Oval, Warwick.

WHEN: Tonight, gates open 5pm.

COST: $15 Adult, $10 consession and $8 for children aged 5-12.

See the pullout in today's paper for a copy of the program.
