State title in sights
THREE representative netball teams from Warwick will travel 260km to compete in the state titles tomorrow.
At lunchtime tomorrow the under 13s, 14s and 15s girls netball teams will jump on a bus and head to Maroochydore.
The girls were selected for the teams last November and have been training hard ever since.
The under 13s and 14s will take part in the division three competition while the under 15s the division two comp.
Warwick District Netball Association president and coach of the under 13s Leah Murphy believes the girls have what it takes but does not want to count the goals before the whistle blows.
"It is hard to say how they will go," she said.
"Some teams from Brisbane are normally very good."
The three teams also take part in the inter-district competition which includes teams from Stanthorpe and Laidley.
Under 14s and 15s teams have played at state level before but it will be the first time for the under 13s.
Their coach said it was a big jump.
"The state titles are the biggest one," Murphy said.
The competition runs from tomorrow to Monday.
