Stellar results for young Warwick dancers
WINNING the trophy for most promising group 12 years and under capped off a stellar weekend for The Dance Centre - Warwick.
They won the trophy for one of their tap routines at the Lockyer District Dance Festival in Gatton.
The 12 years group also claimed first prize in the slow modern class.
The school took 13 dances to the eisteddfod and came home with 11 places - an impressive feat given the tough standard of competition.
Principal Leah Doherty was ecstatic with the results.
She described the dedication of students in all age groups as "amazing" and paid tribute to their focus in delivering and performing their dances.
This was the last eisteddfod of 2015 for The Dance Centre - Warwick but several of the performance troupe dancers will be packing their costumes as they head to the USA on Saturday to perform at Disneyland and Universal Studios next week.
Then it will be business as usual as the Warwick dance school prepares for its annual showcase in early December.
