MY COMMENT: Killarney mum-of-five's tragic death
STORIES don't get much more tragic than that of Killarney mum Bellita Sailor, who passed away suddenly at the weekend, leaving behind five gorgeous children under the age of 10.
Although there is never a right time for such horrific circumstances, it is awful to know these youngsters have been dealt this cruel blow at Christmas time.
It's a time of year when children all over Australia should eagerly be awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus, opening gifts and enjoying family time.
Instead Bellita's children are forced to face the loss of their adored mummy and say goodbye to the person who should be holding their hands, kissing their heads and tucking them in at night.
As mothers there is little we fear more than not being able to be with our children when they need us and the thought of leaving them behind is terrifying.
Although deeply saddened by this tragedy, I have no doubt the Killarney and wider Southern Downs communities will embrace and rally behind this family in their darkest hour.
Our community knows how to support those in need and I am certain this family will touch the heart of everyone who reads their story.
