String of drug offences keep Warwick police on their feet

Drunk driver

A MAN was caught behind the wheel with more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood on Furness Crescent in Warwick yesterday.

Police charged 34-year-old Warwick man with allegedly driving under the influence after he blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.101 around 4:45pm.

He has been issued with a notice to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court but no court date has been set.

Drug Diversion

TWO young adults were found in possession of dangerous drugs and drug utensils at 3:20pm yesterday.

They were eligible for drug diversion.

Police have ordered the 21-year-old Warwick male and 18-year-old Warwick female to attend a drug diversion program after they were picked up on Lyson St.

Search warrant

ANTOHER man was charged for possession of dangerous drugs and drug utensils after police execute a search warrant on a property on Kingsleigh Rd yesterday around 1:40pm.

The 20-year-old Warwick man was also charged with failing to properly dispose of a needle and syringe.

He has been issued with a notice to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on August 1.
