Strong field for Warwick's Christmas races

RACING: A field of 113 horses will compete in the seven-race TAB meeting at Allman Park tomorrow.

A dozen local horses are among the starters at the Warwick Turf Club's annual Christmas Party Race Day.

Turf Club president Phil Grant said he was happy with the nominations and acceptances.

"Tony Gollan has a horse in one of the races," he said.

"It's good to see one of the leading trainers bringing horses for the race."

Mr Grant said the XXXX Gold QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap was one of the races to watch.

Warwick trainer Garry Schwenke has four runners nominated, including Kodajet in the QTIS.

The Les Clarke-trained Ollie Runs Riot is another of the local runners, starting in the Hector Hockings Memorial Class 2 Handicap.

Look I'm Dancing will race for Warwick trainer Kellie Monckton in the XXXX Bitter Maiden Plate.

The first race kicks off at 12.53pm.

Entry to the race day is free, with a bar, food and TAB facilities on site.
