Strong run by Warwick orienteer at Bathurst
ORIENTEERING: Bullecourt Bounders Boulder Orienteering Club member Jaiden Fidge was placed sixth in the sprint in the senior boys class at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships in Bathurst yesterday.
He was 11th on Tuesday in the long distance event and the best-placed Queenslander in the field of 28.
Warwick orienteer Simeon Burrill was third in the sprint in his age group on Saturday and has continued his fine form this week with a win in the men's B race.
The championships will finish this weekend with the long distance nationals on Saturday and relays on Sunday.
Burrill will compete in the men's 20 years elite class in both events and Fidge is entered in the boy's 16 years class.
Both are part of strong three-athlete Queensland relay teams.
