Student loves pig chasing and fishing and now footy

RUGBY LEAGUE: Charlie White is thinking of playing club footy next season after being part of the Goondiwindi State High School team which won the Broncos Cup late Wednesday at Riddles Oval at Goondiwindi.

He doesn't play club footy so at weekends he goes fishing and chasing wild pigs.

White is one of two players in the winning team from the Yelarbon area.

He did play rugby union as a junior before giving the game away.

Weighing in at 100kg, White was used off the bench at prop in the 42-0 Goondiwindi High win in the final against Warwick High.

"I am really keen on defence but also like running the ball. It was great to win with my mates,my first big win in sport,” he said.

"I might play rugby league with the Goondiwindi Boars this season.”
