Students battle it out for Broncos Cup glory

SCHOOL SPORT: There are 500 students at Goondiwindi on Wednesday playing in the Broncos Cup.

The Brisbane Broncos have sponsored the cup for the past two decades.

Some of the teachers at the cup games include retired NRL player Paul Carige and past Queensland Cup rugby league players Scott Schultz and Damian Petrie.

The first day of cup games were a fortnight ago in Warwick and all the finals are this Wednesday at Goondiwindi.

Presentations will be at 4.15pm Wednesday for both rugby league and netball competitions. Virtually every team will play for a trophy.
