Students honoured with awards

MORE than 70 per cent of Warwick State High School students were honoured for their commitment during a ceremony which acting principal David Ferguson said was “astounding”.

Mr Ferguson said the Principal Awards were designed to recognise and celebrate student achievement, behaviour and commitment, and for students to gain these awards they must meet certain criteria.

“These awards are not easy to obtain and they recognise academic, sporting and cultural achievement,” Mr Ferguson said.

Level Three awards recognise the efforts, mature behaviour and achievements students bring to their home and classroom studies; Level Two and One Awards recognise the extra efforts and achievements of students in academic, cultural, sporting and community service.
