Success for locals on the dirt at Morgan Pk
TEN Warwick riders shared success on the second club day for the year at the Warwick and District Dirt Bike Club track at Morgan Park.
The club attracted 85 riders on Sunday which was down on many days due to a large number of other motocross events at the weekend.
There were no injuries on a day when the track dried as the day proceeded after heavy rain at Easter.
The Warwick track is 2.4km in distance with six large jumps which delight the riders.
In the unlimited class, Malcolm George was first and Aaron Rhodes second.
George is originally from Killarney and is a regular at practice and club days at Morgan Park.
Some club members will travel to Haworth Park, Leyburn, for a round of the Shell Advance Sunshine State Series this weekend.
Warwick riders are competing in the Go Girls Series with a round at Hervey Bay in a fortnight.
The next club day at Morgan Park will be June 21 with practice at 8.30am and racing from 9.30am.
The club holds regular practice days, usually on Thursday afternoons, and Sundays, with dates on the club Facebook page.
