Perfect day for sports carnival
GLENNIE Heights State School finally managed to run its Interhouse School Sports after having to postpone due to the wet and wild weather conditions two weeks ago.
Students, who had been training for the past six weeks, gave their all and a large crowd of family and friends cheered as they run, jumped, tossed and threw during one of the sunniest Glennie Heights Sports Day in years.
“We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day,” Glennie Heights P and C president Janet Watts said.
“Just a perfect day for the sports. Parents and staff alike where delighted with the performances and behaviour of the students on the day.”
Astronauts claimed the Ladies Auxiliary Interhouse Shield in a closely fought battle with Meteors and Satellites.
