Sunshine Coast siege: Man taken into custody

UPDATE 3.30PM: A man has been taken into custody after a reported siege incident on the Sunshine Coast this afternoon.

Police took the man into custody about 3.20pm.

It was reported that he had locked himself in a building with gas cylinders and was making threats.

Queensland Police Service media tweeted: "A man has been taken into custody in relation to this incident. The situation has been resolved peacefully."

2.55PM: Police are responding to reports of a siege situation in which a man has locked himself inside a building with gas cylinders.

The situation, located at Mountainview Rd, Glass House Mountains, was reported about 2.50pm.

It is understood the man is making threats.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are on scene with police.
