Super sprints on despite threat of rain
Horse Power column with Gerard Walsh
THE second of 12 Queensland Super Sprints rounds at Morgan Park Raceway is on this weekend.
For the first time, the number of nominations has demanded the series be split into three.
This weekend, it is round 1 for B group drivers with 90 drivers ended up racing.
Next weekend, the C group drivers will be at Morgan Park for their first round.
The first round for A group drivers was three weeks ago.
One of the three biggest meetings for the year at Morgan Park Raceway will be the Historic Racing Car Club of Queensland Autumn Historics on May 4-6.
The Porsche drivers also use Morgan Park and will be there for the first time this year on April 28.
Racing practice
THE Warwick and District Sporting Car Club has practice for racing car drivers every second Wednesday at Morgan Park Raceway.
There are 10-15 drivers at each session, which is organised by club member Peter Herlihen.
All that is needed to practice is a car and a CAMS licence.
Races return
THE Warwick Turf Club will hold its next race meeting at Allman Park on Saturday, April 14.
The April meeting is one of three in the final three months of the racing year which ends on June 30.
