Super sprints return to Morgan Park Raceway
HORSE POWER with Gerard Walsh
THE Queensland Super Sprints are back at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend.
It will be round 1 for B drivers with racing all day Saturday and to after lunch Sunday.
As with all the sprints, admission for the public is free and fans are welcome to walk through the pit area and have a look at the cars.
Busy weekend
THERE will be plenty of action at Morgan Park this weekend with the biggest meeting so far at the new Warwick Aero Modellers field and then the Scots PGC Extravaganza at the Warwick Horse Trials facility.
The juniors will be deadly serious at the extravaganza as riders aim to qualify for state championships.
Not everyone who had a bit of a career in sport has made it to state championship level so to the riders this weekend, good luck as you follow your sporting dream.
Polocrosse action
POLOCROSSE action on the Southern Downs has eased off a bit to about August but carnivals are planned almost every weekend somewhere in Queensland.
Last weekend, Warwick teams enjoyed success at Tambo.
You have to be keen to drive to Tambo for a sporting event but they do it every week in polocrosse.
It is definitely a sport where the players get an adrenaline rush each time they pick up a racquet and jump on a horse.
