Support grows for Browns

A STEADY stream of Warwick district residents has come into the Daily News with donations of items for the Brown family.

The fire took the life of cricket legend and former state player Wilf Brown and left his wife Leonore and daughter Jane with only what they were standing in.

The community has rallied behind the family.

On Tuesday, Beachcomber International Resort (Coolangatta) manager David Abood promised an extensive range of good quality furniture and yesterday there were two separate offers of beds and one of a fridge.

Money to help the family is being accepted at the Warwick Credit Union and more donations of household and personal items can be left at the Daily News.

Anyone with large items can call 4660 1355 and ask for Gerard Walsh.

How to donate money: Funds transfer to BSB 817001, Account No. 63268 at WCU or any branch.
