Sushi tempting the tastebuds
SUSHI lovers can now rejoice.
Warwick is finally home to the beloved Asian delight, available at Belle Vue Cafe on Palmerin St.
With nowhere else in Warwick to purchase sushi, new owners Mark and Rosie Favero said they saw a void and filled it.
"A few people told us sushi was what they missed most about living in the city and so we thought we'd give it a go," Mr Favero said.
"We have received really good feedback and we get plenty of people come through just for sushi."
With the choice of salmon and cream cheese, chicken and vegetables or California rolls, the Faveros are looking to broaden their horizons and look into other sushi combinations.
Mr Favero said although it was in its early stages, the sushi trade had been going well.
"Word has been getting out, and considering we've done hardly any advertising it's great," he said.
"We're still teething, but we're selling on average about 50 rolls a day.
"It's all over Facebook apparently," Mr Favero said.
Mrs Favero said they had not only received good feedback about the sushi, but after two weeks in ownership they had been inundated with positive with comments about the cafe.
"We've had excellent comments and people have said it's so good to see it buzzing in here," Mrs Favero said.
"People have been happy with the changes so far, and there's a few more to come."
