Suspected shooter had gun history

A MAN with a history of gun violence is suspected of killing three men at a pool party in Auburn, Alabama, on the weekend.

Two of the men who were fatally wounded had strong links to Auburn University's football team, the New York Times was reporting.

Three other people were wounded when Desmonte D. Leonard, 22, of Montgomery, allegedly fired shots aimed at a few men at the party near the university campus.

Police charged Leonard, who has no connection to the university, with three counts of capital murder while the hunt for him continued in the Montgomery area.
