Swans lose Rohan in Kangaroos win
SYDNEY has broken into the top two in the league with a convincing 36-point win over the Kangaroos at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Swans were ahead for most of the day, before repelling a late charge from North Melbourne to maintain their unbeaten record for 2012.
The win gives Sydney its first 4-0 start since 1998. The news was not all good for the Swans, however, with forward Gary Rohan suffering a compound leg fracture in the opening passages of play.
Rohan kicked Sydney's first goal inside the first 60 seconds, but a minute later he was writhing on the ground, after getting his leg caught at an awkward angle in a collision with the Kangaroos' Lindsay Thomas in the Swans' forward 50.
He gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was carried from the field on a stretcher, but was later taken to hospital. Swans substitute Tony Armstrong replaced Rohan for Sydney.
