Sweaty times to return to Warwick
IF YOU woke up lathered in sweat on Sunday night you weren't alone, as Warwick experienced its hottest night in 19 years.
Thermometers hit a minimum of 25.3 degrees and if that didn't send you kicking off the sheets then wait for the humidity to pipe back up.
Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke said while it would cool off this week, we could expect temperatures to ramp up again at the weekend.
"We'll be back into the mid 30s by Friday, then Saturday looks like it would be the hottest day, but should be cooling off a bit after that," Mr Dutschke said.
"But it's still going to stay fairly warm in the low-to-mid-30s for few more days (after that)."
He said the humidity was likely to rise with each heating period, but that meant more chance of rain.
"There is a bit more moisture in the air over the next week or two," Mr Dutschke said.
This week's forecast temps:
- Today: 16-29 degrees;
- Tomorrow: 15-32 degrees;
- Thursday: 16-33 degrees;
- Friday: 16-35 degrees;
- Saturday: 18-36 degrees;
- Sunday: 19-34 degrees.
