AFTER another successful year of being fabulous the Red Hatters of Warwick sat down to enjoy their annual Christmas lunch today.

This year's venue was The Malt House in Warwick and 24 ladies turned up in their purple frock and red hats for the celebration.

Host Fay Wickham said that she and Shirley Peel had organised the event.

"We all need a little boost, us old fossils," she said.

"We generally get together every two months and today is all about fun and a Christmas celebration."

Mrs Wickham said the Red Hatters was a social group for women in the community over 50.

"It's a chance to talk, laugh, eat and be merry," she said.

"Tell a few jokes and a few tales."
