Sydney FC lures Carle back to Australia with two-year deal

SYNDEY FC has scored another goal on the recruiting front, announcing former Johnny Warren Medallist Nick Carle has agreed to a two-year deal with the Sky Blues.

The 31-year-old has been playing on loan for Bani Yas in the United Arab Emirates Pro League, but will start training with Sydney FC when the squad kicks off its preparation for the 2013-14 A-League season on June 19.

"I'm really happy to be coming back to Sydney FC," Carle said.

"I enjoyed my experience in Abu Dhabi with Bani Yas, but Sydney is home and I want to finish my career with Sydney FC.

"I've spoken to a few of the players and there's a real determination to get stuck into pre season training and make sure we're ready for the start of the season to improve on what was a disappointing season for the club last year."

Carle spent two seasons with the Sky Blues in 2010-11 and 2011-12, playing 42 matches and scoring seven goals.
Coach Frank Farina said he was thrilled Carle would be at the club next season.

The midfielder is expected to be available for Sydney's friendly against Japanese club Sagan Tosu on July 24.
