T20 fundraisers a big winner in Warwick
THE McGrath Foundation will benefit by around $3000 following three successful cricket T20 Pink Stumps cricket matches at the weekend.
At Allora, $2000 was raised from the women's and men's games and $500 in an after-game auction.
Funds will be boosted by the $500 raised at a T20 game at Slade Park in Warwick.
At Allora, Mel Rubie was the star of the women's game in which the Warwick Nurses beat the Allora Women.
Allora Cricket Club beat the Allora Old Boys in the men's game. Beetle Wakeford was the star of the show for the Allora Old Boys.
Chris Byrnes took a hit on the head in the game but was not injured. But the ball which hit him raised the most money in the after-game auction.
Jimmy Olsen has found his best format for cricket - T20.
In the Warwick fundraiser sponsored by Carey Brothers Meats and Red Rooster, he took 3-17 off two overs.
Two of Olsen's wickets were caught and bowled and one a catch to Michael Bourke.
