T20 Warwick club round today
CRICKET: For the second week in succession, premiers Wheatvale will play Warwick Hotel Colts in club cricket.
The two teams will meet at Slade Park at 1pm today.
Due to the representative cricket this weekend, round three of the T20 competition will be played today.
There are two games at both Slade Park and Mayhew Oval.
Colts beat Wheatvale by 24 runs in a 40-over game last weekend but T20 cricket is totally different.
In the early game at Slade Park, Sovereign Animals will play Railway Hotel Rascals.
The Animals attack is built around two of the best young pacemen in Warwick, Cahal Davis and Caleb King.
There will be up to five Christensen family members in the Rascals, four of whom took catches last weekend.
The closest game of the day could be at Mayhew Oval at 1pm when Maryvale play Inglewood.
Inglewood is likely to be without last week's top scorer and Member for Maranoa David Littleproud, who has other commitments but batsman Shane Hooper could win the game in 10 overs if he hits form.
All teams batting second need to bat 20 overs or until bowled out to help determine the top four.
Players asked to be at ground well before start of play.
