Students put on a great show

SINGING, dancing, comedy and some indescribable acts were bought together at the 2010 Warwick State High School’s Talent Quest.

Held on Tuesday evening, October 19, the spirited committee organised the event under the guidance of teacher Miss Kristy Liesegang.

They tried to put a different spin on the night by making it a Channel 7 live broadcast. Favourite TV ads were performed by students and incorporated between the acts.

Judges Marco Gliori, Renee Collier and Aimee Liesegang had difficulty deciding on the winner due to the vast range of talent.

The Judges Choice Award was given to The Late Arrivals, consisting of Brad Davies on vocals, Jamie Stevens, Mitchell Haidley and Mitchell Barling.

This year’s Audience Choice Award was given to Lucy Boland who sang Unwell accompanied by Ben Vellacott.

An encouragement award was introduced this year and taken out by Makenzie Towson for her performance of The Only Exception.

An audience member was so impressed with this year’s talent, they donated two highly commended awards which were given to Caitlyn Jespersen who performed Fairytale and a group of Year 12 students who had the audience in hysterics with their synchronized swimming.

The night provided some fantastic entertainment for audience members while also showcasing the outstanding abilities of students from Warwick State High School.
