Tamaree man dies after crashing motorbike at Burpengary

A 25-YEAR-OLD Tamaree man has died in hospital after he crashed a motorbike into a fence at Burpengary on Tuesday.

Police said that just before 11.40am police attempted to intercept what was believed to be a stolen motorcycle.

The rider allegedly drove away and police were unable to intercept him.

A period of time later the rider crashed into a fence on Gleeson Road.

The man was taken to Royal BrisbaneHospital in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

As per standard procedure, Ethical Standards Command are investigating.
