Taylah’s love for community inspires Rodeo Queen quest
THE SEARCH for the next Rodeo Queen has begun and Taylah Gibson is just one of the girls who will compete for the title.
Taylah, 18, works full time at the Rodeo Heritage Centre.
Originally from the Sunshine Coast, she moved to Warwick about 10 years ago and said she's never felt more at home.
"I'm definitely more of a country girl," she said.
"I'd like to give back to the community and rodeo is such a big part of Warwick."
Taylah enjoys riding horses in her spare time and has recently started to compete in trail riding.
She has been around horses for most of her life and participated in pony clubs when she was younger.
Her other interests include old time dancing and photography.
Taylah will attend the Rodeo Queen Bootcamp open to all entrants on August 16.
She will also host a trail riding fundraiser on a stock route just outside of town on August 15.
The fundraiser will consist of a five-hour trail ride and will include lunch and morning tea.
It will cost trail riders $40 to participate.
Half of the cost will be donated to ATHRA insurance and the other half will be a non-refundable ride fee which will cover the lunch and morning tea.
Spaces on the trail ride are limited and those interested are encouraged to book ahead.
For bookings and more information contact Taylah on 0408 333 182.
