Taylor Swift covers Triple J Hottest 100 winner Vance Joy

SHE has the midas touch in music, but it was the sweet sounds of Australia's Vance Joy that have clearly captured the imagination of Taylor Swift.

The country-turned-pop songbird appeared to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge this week, where singers perform one of their own songs, then a cover.

After a rendition of her current blockbuster smash Shake It Off, Swifty slowed things down a touch, taking on Vance Joy's Riptide, which was voted the top song in 2013 by Triple J's  Hottest 100.

It's a slow, yet moving version of the quirky track.

She tells the host she wanted to change the arrangement of the song to see how it would sound sung from a woman's point of view.

Presenting! Taylor Swift covering Vance Joy's Riptide. Enjoy.
