Taylor Swift releases surprise gift to Aussie fans
POP juggernaut Taylor Swift is delivering the most sought-after Christmas gift, announcing a four-show stadium tour that will strum into action in late 2015.
Her album 1989 has reportedly already sold more than 4 million copies, with its airwave-conquering Shake It Off and now Blank Space luring fans back into the dusty music shops from their virtual counterparts.
Sydney's ANZ Stadium will be Swift's first Australian stop on her 1989 World Tour, followed by Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Adelaide's Entertainment Centre and AAMI Park in Melbourne.
She'll be backed by Australian Vance Joy, whose track Riptide won the Triple J Hottest 100 in 2013, and which impressed Swift enough that she covered it earlier this year.
Tickets will go on sale for registered fans on December 4, if you're on Swift's fan e-mail list, otherwise you'll have to wait until December 12.
