Tea helps raise money

DECKED out in lavender it was a case of pretty in purple at the Senior Citizens Centre yesterday.

As part of the annual Leukaemia Foundation Lavender for Leukaemia in June campaign the Warwick Branch hosted an appropriately themed morning tea.

President Graham Buchner said it was wonderful to see so much support.

"It is a good thing because without local branches the Leukaemia Foundation wouldn't be able to function," he said.

Assistant treasurer Beryl Smith said 130 people attended and $2000 had been raised.
