Teams eye off round 2 in super league hockey on Friday

HOCKEY: State players Dion Phillips, Matt Eastwell, Rob Pohlman, Craig Windle and Jacob Reid will play in tomorrow night's Condamine Sports Club Super League men's game at Queens Park.

Mackenzie Davies played representative hockey in New South Wales and is part of the Warriors team.

The super league is being played for the second year in men's and ladies' hockey and aims to give Warwick club players three games of higher-standard hockey each year.

Matthew Hagenbach and Adam Byrne are super league regulars but have state masters team training commitments this weekend and will miss round 2.

Warriors beat River Hawks 6-0 in round 1 but a closer game is expected at 8pm Friday.
