Teen charged after alleged assault in Warwick
A 17-YEAR-OLD girl has been dealt with for one count of assault occasioning bodily harm after an incident in Warwick yesterday afternoon.
Warwick Police Sergeant Shane Reid said police were called to Stewart Ave about 2.30pm.
The Warwick teen had assaulted an adult woman from Warwick.
She was later charged and has been referred to a process under the Juvenile Justices Act.
She will not be required to face court.
A 49-YEAR-OLD driver was intercepted by police on Wallace St about 5am this morning.
Warwick Police Sergeant Shane Reid said police searched the vehicle and uncovered a quantity of prescription medication that was prescribed to a different person.
The Laidley man was charged with one count of illegal possession of drugs.
He was released by police with a notice to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court at a later date.
Alleged vehicle theft
AN 18-YEAR-OLD man is in police custody in Toowoomba after allegedly stealing a Holden Rodeo at Goondiwindi overnight.
Police allege the man did a fuel drive off at the Caltex in Goondiwindi before the vehicle was located in Toowoomba this morning.
The alleged theft occurred about 11.10pm last night.
