Teen crashes into pole after losing control of his car

A SOUTHERN Downs teenager crashed into a power pole last night after losing control of his vehicle on wet roads.

The 17-year-old male from Warwick was driving on East St near the Freestone Rd intersection.

Warwick Sergeant Shane Reid said the incident occurred about 7pm yesterday evening after the male lost control in the "rainy conditions.”

"The male was conveyed by ambulance to Warwick hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Sgt Reid said.

"I'm not sure what the extent of his injuries are just yet.”

Sgt Reid said investigations surrounding the crash are continuing.

"No charges have been laid,” Sgt Reid said.
