Telstra outage leaves homes, businesses offline
HOMES and businesses across the Warwick region were without telephone and internet connection for most of the weekend.
The outage - reportedly related to just Telstra services - started on Friday afternoon and was not resolved until late Sunday.
Residents have told the Daily News that the outage caused mayhem at McDonalds in Warwick with the restaurant's eftpos not working.
Affected customers were initially told the outage would not be fixed for up to 10 days.
They took to social media to vent their frustrations.
"Just what we need right before Xmas," the Queen Mary Falls Caravan Park and Café posted on its Facebook page.
"I dread to think how many bookings we will miss.
"If you are trying to ring and can't get through I apologise."
The Warwick Daily News has contacted Telsta for details on the outage.
