Temperatures soar above average in Warwick this weekend

GET your board shorts out and find some water.

Warwick is set to endure another weekend of warm temperatures, as the celsius continues to rise.

Meteorologist Michael Paech said residents are best served making friends with their air conditioner today.

"The weather will be fine and hot with temperatures five degrees above the December average," Mr Paech said.

"Tops of 34 degrees are expected for both Saturday and Sunday, continuing the hot conditions experienced on Thursday and Friday.

"The odd cloud will float around, but there will be no precipitation until the end of next week."

Mr Paech said despite the warm days, night-time would provide some relief.

"Evening temperatures should cool off into the mid-teens," he said.

"Warwick is coming out of a period of cool temperatures, and has suddenly been hit with the warmer conditions.

"It hasn't quite acclimatised just yet."

With the UV rating reaching an extreme level of 14, residents are urged to wear sunscreen and protective clothing outside.
