Temps warm despite storms
SEVERE thunderstorms were predicted for the region overnight, with the potential for damaging winds and large hailstones, according to Weatherzone.
The warning was issued at 4pm yesterday, and advised residents to move their cars under cover or away from trees.
Warwick received around 6.4mm of rain between 9am and 5pm yesterday, with the potential for thunderstorms for the rest of last night.
Despite this, the rest of the week is looking to be sunny and dry.
The rain should clear up by today, with bright weather being predicted through most of the week up until the weekend.
The temperature is expected to remain warm, reaching into the mid 20s today and tomorrow.
A hot sunny day is likely for Thursday with a temperature ranging from the mid-20s to 28 degrees.
It should be slightly cooler on Friday and Saturday, with a temperature of around 24 degrees.
The trough that was causing the potential thunderstorm and rain yesterday will move off the coast during today, while the warm air mass in Central Australia will draw hot air over the state again.
Westerly winds are likely to remain light on most days at around 11 knots.
The rain from yesterday should settle any potential fire danger, but levels may climb to a higher risk towards the end of this week if it remains dry.
