Texas Terriers ready for a rugby league reunion

RUGBY LEAGUE: The most successful club in Border Rugby League history will ring in the new year with a Black and White Reunion Ball on December 31.

It will be a night of fun, laughter and a few tears, memorabilia and plenty of reminiscing about the years that have gone by for the Texas Terriers.

Former and current players, committee members, life members, coaches and supporters are welcome to attend the function which will be held at the Texas Memorial Hall.

Live entertainment and slide shows outlining the years of rugby league in Texas will be on offer along with a full bar.

The current committee is searching for any photos or memorabilia. They want presentation photos, jerseys or trophies relating to the sport at Texas down the years under Border United, Texas Football Club and Texas Terriers banners.

Organisers are hoping to hear from anyone who played for or supported a Texas team down the years. The club is still gathering information on how long rugby league has been alive in Texas with information back to the 1920s. The club contact is Andrea Sutton on 0427968138.
