The Criterion hotel gets a visit from Santa
The Criterion Hotel has pulled out all the stops for an extravagant Christmas in July weekend.
Open fires, carols sung by choirs and tinsel draped from wall to wall, the pub has been transformed into a winter wonderland.
Hotel manager Kylie Jenner said all Australians were fascinated with the idea of a "white Christmas”.
"Everyone is obsessed with having Christmas in the snow time, with woolly jumpers and Santa at the North Pole,” Ms Jenner said.
"We love Christmas at the hotel and once a year isn't enough.”
Prizes are up for grabs for the most festively dressed person on the day.
"Anyone who comes in wearing a Christmas sweater or wearing elf ears will receive a present from Santa and all kids receive a free home made cookie,” Ms Jenner said.
The hotel has put on a royal feast for the day, serving roast turkey and potatoes and Christmas pudding and trifles for dessert,
Ms Jenner said this weekend was the perfect time to bring the Christmas spirit to Warwick.
"We've had beautiful cold weather and with jumpers and jazz around the corner everyone is getting out their most woolliest jumpers,” she said.
The hotel will be sharing the Christmas cheer all day but Santa will be going home at 2pm.
