Brumby's future in limbo as franchisee search continues
THE future of Brumby's in Warwick remains uncertain, with a spokeswoman for the bakery chain saying the brand was still looking for a franchisee.
The spokeswoman said the brand was seeking a motivated local partner to assist in reopening the outlet.
"Applicants do not require any previous baking experience or retail experience," she said.
"Brumby's offers intensive courses including baking theory, baking practice and retail operations at their world-class training academy."
The store suddenly closed at the end of November last year, taking unsuspecting customers by surprise.
The small group of staff were reportedly given only a week's notice of the closure.
Managing Director Matthew Marshall previously told the Warwick Daily News that Brumby's was looking for a motivated partner in the business.
"Unfortunately, sometimes our stores do close, or our franchisees do not renew their agreement, and this can be for a variety of reasons," he said.
"Brumby's is dedicated to the success of our franchisees and provides them with ongoing assistance and support throughout the life of their business."
