The markets are a place to do business and make friends

CLAIRE Cunningham headed to the quarterly markets at Glengallan Homestead on Sunday to "do business and make friends”.

"My husband Eric used to come but I came this time,” Mrs Cunningham said.

Valerie Long from Gilgandra in northwest New South Wales was at the markets for a second time.

"I bought some lettuce and cucumber,” she said.

Mrs Long and her family spent Saturday night at Cherrabah for a birthday party before a drive to Glengallan Homestead on Sunday.

Shayne and Marian Jones from Greenmount are regulars at Glengallan.

"The markets are fantastic,” he said.

"There is a good variety of stalls, fresh fruit and home-made things.”

Mark and Megan Mauch and their four children from Warwick were at the markets as a bit of a treat for Mrs Mauch's birthday.

The next quarterly market is on the first Sunday in June at Glengallan Homestead.
