The one-pot cooking craze Warwick women are turning to
SENSATIONAL simplicity is the key to surviving winter as a busy mother-of-three.
That's what Stanthorpe's award-winning recipe author Kim McCosker thinks, anyway.
With shorter sunlight hours and more sporting commitments than ever, Ms McCosker finds the days disappear at this time of the year.
But what if she told you there was a way to cut down on cooking, cleaning and shopping time this winter?
That's exactly the aim behind Ms McCosker's new recipe book, which she showed off to Warwick locals at Spano's Warwick IGA on Saturday, June 23.
"It is easy on so many levels, which is what makes it so great,” Ms McCosker said.
"For me, I have three boys and we lose a lot of time at soccer practice and training.
"Being able to just get home at the end of the day and throw it all in one pot is very appealing.”
The latest edition in a collection of 32 cookbooks takes her tried and tested principle even one step further to achieving complete simplicity.
Ms McCosker has built a foodie empire around recipes the that use no more than four ingredients.
The Easiest One Pot Cookbook Ever is a collection of Ms McCosker's best meals that you can whip up and enjoy using only one pot.
"Not only will it save you time on cooking, cleaning and shopping, it will also save you money,” she said.
But that's doesn't mean you have to settle for bland.
The recipes in Ms McCosker's book are bursting with interesting flavours like the Thai pumpkin soup or spicy sweet-chilli salmon.
"It's not just great for busy parents but for retirees, people on the move in camper vans and trailers, those who live alone,” she said.
The recipe book is available at IGA stores around Australia.
The Easiest One Pot Cookbook Ever is valued at $29.99 but will be available for a special price of $19.99 at IGA while stocks last.
