THE balloons were hung and the cake was cut - all in the name of celebrating the launch of Warwick's newest business.

The firmly-established Harcourts has joined forces with Landmark to take the rural real estate market by storm with an official launch at their offices last night.

Business owner Max Holder said he was confident the re-branding would ensure success for his business through taking the real estate expertise of the Harcourts team and applying it to the rural sector with Landmark's knowledge.

Mr Holder said Matthew Mauch had been employed specifically to look after rural properties.

"He is born and bred in the Warwick area and knows the rural side of things very well," Mr Holder said.

As the first Queensland Harcourts to complete the partnership, Mr Holder said it was an exciting time for the company and he was excited to share it with other Rose City business people at last night's Business After Hours meeting.

The joint venture officially kicked off in April on a national scale and Landmark Harcourts CEO Darren Cole said he believed the combination of the two entities provided the scope to successfully grow both businesses.

"The combination of the Landmark real estate team who collectively command strong market knowledge, local property expertise and deep relationships in the bush, and Harcourts International, whose capability to provide market leading technology, training, marketing leverage and back-end real estate systems, present the genuine prospect of building Australia's biggest and best rural/regional real estate business," Mr Cole said.
