The weekend wrap from around the region

IT LOOKS like Tenterfield and Inglewood are odds-on favourites to make the grand final in the Border Rugby League competition after convincing wins at the weekend.
Tenterfield beat Stanthorpe 58-12 on Aub Gillespie Memorial Day at Tenterfield and Inglewood beat Killarney 46-0.
Both Stanthorpe and Killarney have shown this season that if on song and at full strength they can match the leading teams.
It wasn't a great weekend for Killarney footy, with Stephanie Hancock playing in the Queensland side that went down 22-6 to New South Wales in interstate women's rugby league.
She did set up the only Maroons try and hopefully did enough to be selected for another World Cup at the end of the season.
The Porsche Car Club of Queensland attracted 70 competitors from south-east Queensland and northern NSW to its multi-club event at Morgan Park on Saturday but there is nothing this weekend as some maintenance is undertaken at the raceway before a practice weekend for the super bikes in a fortnight.
The Porsche club has two meetings this year in Warwick.
Warwick and District junior rugby league fixtures were played on Saturday, with Goondiwindi Blue beating Collegians Red in the under-14 President's Cup 44-14.
In the U16 cup final, Goondiwindi beat Collegians Blue 56-14.
Girls' league tag and U12 President's Cup finals will be played between Tenterfield and Goondiwindi on August 12.
This weekend's games will be played at Collegians, Eastern Suburbs and Wattles ovals in the RizeUp round.
