Thieves steal $40,000 in jewellery

THIEVES made off with an estimated $40,000 worth of jewellery from a Rose City Shoppingworld outlet last night.

Investigations are continuing today into the break-in of the Prouds outlet near Big W, with the offenders understood to have gained entry to the centre through a roller-door.

The store was closed for trading today.
