Three brothers part of finals teams in cricket carnival
CRICKET: Stunned Mullets will be going for their sixth Australia Day Cricket Carnival title when they meet Hulk's in today's final.
The Gross family can't lose with Lachlan and Ben in Stunned Mullets and the youngest of the trio, Jacob, in Hulk's XI.
Stunned Mullets have won five titles, including two in the past two years.
Hulk's are in the grand final again after the team showed the best semi-final form in winning by 100 against Marbucks this morning.
The final will be 20 overs a side at Slade Park from 1.30pm.
Lachlan Gross was one of the form batsmen last year and scored 43 today and will be a trump card in the final, especially after his recent Mitchell Shield century.
Kev Poole was best with the bat this morning for Hulk's with 53 but it could be the Hulk's bowling which wins the final based on the 4-4 by Jacob Gross and 3-8 by Mitch Watson this morning.
In the social grand final at Briggs Oval currently being played, Hurricanes Elite were 4-51 halfway through their innings against Digglers. Jay Hankinson had been just dismissed.
Presentations will be at Slade Park this afternoon after the Stunned Mullets/Hulk's XI grand final.
