RACING: Three down, one to go - that is the score for the Warwick Turf Club in one of its busiest times in more than a century of racing.

The club has now hosted three of the four meetings it scheduled between May 13 and June 17.

The weather has been perfect and the track good for the picnics, the Warwick RSL Memorial Club Long Tan Cup Day and yesterday a TAB meeting when Warwick was the only race meeting in Queensland.

Now all focus is on the Killarney Cup on June 17.

One of the questions is whether Killarney trainer Les Clarke has a cup-winning horse for the race meeting.

Turf club president Phil Grant was on the money when asked about the commitment needed from committee members with so many meetings in a short period of time.

"We are a race club,” he said.
