Three head the Warwick Gold Cup early on scores of 90
CAMPDRAFTING: Three riders are on 90 after the first 300 runs in the Pryde's EasiFeed Warwick Gold Cup campdraft.
Gold Cup action started at 5.30am this morning and went into the early afternoon as a forerunner to the start of the Black Toyota Canning Downs Campdraft.
The Gold Cup leaders are Kingaroy campdrafter Mark Buttsworth on Yulgilbar Agile Playgirl, Glenmorgan rider Bec Hayes on Ginger and Phillip Collins riding Spin One Moore.
Collins hails from Bombala in Victoria and was 214th into camp yesterday for his 90.
After the first 200 runs, three members of the Knudsen family were in the top 10 in the Warwick Gold Cup, husband-and-wife team Ken and Jackie Knudsen and their sister-in-law Shari Knudsen.
There are 600 first-round runs today and another 600 tomorrow.
The first action in The Carlton Dry Warwick Rodeo National Finals will be at 6pm Thursday with round 1 action between the top 15 riders in the eight Australian Professional Rodeo Association championship events.
