Three hurt in two-vehicle highway smash

THREE people were taken to Stanthorpe Hospital after a two-vehicle crash south of Stanthorpe yesterday afternoon.

Two urban fire crews were on the scene of the crash, which occurred at the intersection of the New England Highway and Back Creek Road.

The driver of a Mazda hatchback, who is believed to be a local woman, was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital.

The extent of her injuries was unknown at time of print.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
